Cold spots at the bottom of radiators, a noisy boiler, or radiators that take forever to warm up are all classic symptoms of a sludged system. That sludge is magnetite, iron oxide that collects at the low points and blocks flow. Fitting a new boiler onto a dirty system is the fastest way to void a warranty.

We flush radiator by radiator with a magnetic filter on the pump, then dose the system with inhibitor and fit a permanent filter so it stays clean.

How power flushing works with us

3. Neutralise and dose

System neutralised, drained clear, then dosed with inhibitor.

4. Protect

Magnetic filter fitted and the system rebalanced so heat reaches every room.

Questions About Power Flushing

Cold patches at the bottom of radiators, radiators cold at the bottom and hot at the top, banging or kettling noises from the boiler, or dirty black water when you bleed a radiator.

Most domestic systems take between four and six hours depending on the number of radiators and how badly sludged the system is.

In most cases yes, provided the cold spots are caused by sludge rather than a failed valve or a balancing issue. We check first so you are not paying for the wrong fix.
