Our commitment

Aqua Smart Plumbing and Heating Limited wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, magnification, keyboard only navigation or voice control. We have built this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, and to meet our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

What we have done

• Every page uses semantic HTML5 landmarks, a single main heading, and a logical heading order.
• Every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline.
• A skip to content link is the first item on every page so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
• Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and large text meets at least 3 to 1.
• Every form field has a visible, permanently associated label, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.
• Every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• The cookie consent panel moves focus to itself when it opens, can be dismissed with the Escape key, and is never a keyboard trap.
• Animation and movement respect the reduced motion setting in your operating system.
• The site works at 200 percent zoom and reflows to a single column on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Some documents supplied by third parties, such as manufacturer instruction manuals, may not meet the same standard. If you need information from any such document in a different format, contact us and we will supply it in a format that works for you.
